Ethiopian Chess is a community dedicated to building a thriving chess culture in Ethiopia — connecting players across the diaspora, and developing local talent.
Our Mission
We believe Ethiopia can produce world-class chess players. Our goal is to create the competitive infrastructure, community, and resources that give Ethiopian players — at home and abroad — a pathway to reach their potential.
We run regular online tournaments on Lichess open to all, with plans for over-the-board events as the community grows. Every tournament is documented, every result recorded, and every great game celebrated.
